// Switching My Browser From Edge to Firefox

Microsoft Edge has been my browser on my laptop for the past 4 years or so. Believe it or not I actually liked using Edge, my favorite feature being vertical tabs. I found it to be usable after you disable a bunch of crap and clean up the bloat. However, it's only gotten worse and worse over the years, with Microsoft shoving as much AI slop as possible with every update. (I HATEEEEE COPILOT I'VE NEVER USED IT AND I NEVER WILL!!!!) What pushed me to finally drop Edge was that after the last update, every time I open a new tab there's a high chance the browser will turn on Copilot Discover and fill the homepage with a disgusting news feed. Then I would have to go through the trouble of turning off everything again and resetting my wallpaper, which is really annoying. What really gets on my nerve is that this horrible user experience is by design—there's no way to disable Copilot Discover completely. Microsoft just looooves shoving useless features in your face. You WILL see slop and you WILL like it. Uh, no thanks. Bye bye Edge I won't miss you.

I decided to switch to Firefox because I've heard good things about it & it seems to be the most commonly used and best supported browser after Chrome and Edge. It's only my second day using it and I'm already liking it a lot more than Edge! Big fan of all the customization options. Apparently there's CSS customization too? So yeah, from now on this website will be developed & tested on Firefox. I'm glad my website didn't break when viewed on a different browser lol. The only difference I noticed is how the native scrollbar looks.
